Even Balance, Inc. has been contracted by id Software, Inc. to integrate our PunkBuster™ Anti-Cheat Software technology into the newly released yet already highly acclaimed Return to Castle Wolfenstein (RTCW). We are working hard to get the integration code written and tested for an upcoming patch to the game. Based on preliminary work, we fully expect to be able to support and enhance all areas of the PunkBuster™ system and sustain only a brief beta period with RTCW. PunkBuster™ software will still be a separate and optional addition but will be directly integrated with the game when it is enabled by players and server administrators. As always, there will be no direct cost to players and server admins for non-commercial use of PunkBuster™ and we fully intend to support the clan and league communities, as well as mods that develop around RTCW with both free and premium support services and add-on software.

At this time, we are suspending development of the experimental Half-Life / Counter-Strike edition of PunkBuster™ in order to pursue endeavors with commercial game developers who are interested in contracting with us to have PunkBuster™ Anti-Cheat technology integrated directly into their online games.

Welcome to PunkBuster™. We expect to begin beta testing our experimental Anti-Cheat system for Half-Life based mods early next week. If you would like to participate in the beta testing after reading the About, FAQ and Software Terms sections of this site, then please contact us to let us know of your interest. We are very serious about standing up and saying NO MORE! to the Punks who have been getting away with destroying online multiplayer gaming through cheating and widespread dissemination of cheating methods. Our goal is to restore the FUN stolen by the selfish Punks who cheat at online multiplayer games. We are currently developing products that are easy to use, non-intrusive, extremely low resource and bandwidth consumers, and effective. We intend to introduce our system to organized online gameplay as soon as the initial testing phases have been completed.
